CORRESPONDENCE COURSES
LHISD policy limits students to no more than two credits earned through correspondence. Students are only allowed to take correspondence courses for classes not offered on campus. Courses can be completed through Texas Tech University ISD, The University of Texas High School, and Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN).
Course fees are at the expense of the student.
Courses are taught at the minimum skill level required. A grade of 70 or better is required for credit; grades earned in correspondence courses are not calculated in the GPA at LHHS.
Students need to complete the Notice of Intent to Complete a Correspondence Course form and turn it in to their counselor. This helps us keep track of your courses and explains why something required is missing from your course requests.
